We've joined forces with WorldPay to offer you a secure way of taking credit and debit card payments online. WorldPay uses a streamlined application process: if speed is of the essence, you could be up and trading within three days, assuming all is in order. WorldPay has been working with e-commerce solutions since 1993 and has built up a solid reputation.
Internet Merchant ID Card-holders
If you are an established business and already have an Internet Merchant ID issued by your acquiring bank you can use WorldPay to undertake online card authorisation and to route your card transactions to your acquirer. (Note - even if you currently accept card payments in a retail outlet or for mail-order transactions you still need a separate Internet Merchant ID in order to trade online. For a new business these can be difficult or take a long time to obtain).
Non Internet Merchant ID Card-holders
If you are a newly established business or have not got an existing Internet Merchant ID then you can apply for WorldPay's WorldDirect service, which will give you a WorldPay Customer ID. Once issued, this will allow you to trade online without having an Internet Merchant ID from an acquiring bank. Take a look at our pricing info to see the charges for each service.
Trading online dissolves traditional geographical boundaries - in keeping with this, WorldPay offers multi-currency processing. You can choose from over 160 currencies to take payment and from 22 currencies for remittance. Daily updated exchange rates mean that you always receive the correct amount for your goods and your customers get to make informed 'value judgment' decisions. All major credit and debit cards are also accepted, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club (UK only), Switch, Delta and Solo.
